He dropped this bomb on Erdogan this morning.
The Lira is down 13% against the dollar this morning. There is a run on their money and trump just took a dump on it. This is all about getting that Pastor released and Erdogan’s general hostility to our interests in ME.
I swear if people get out of this guy’s way he’s going to bring bad actors around the world to their knees. He’s got China on the ropes. He has North Korea at the table. He has riots going on in Iran. He’s even tightened sanctions on his “best friend“ Putin.
I love having a strong leader who knows how to apply MAXIMUM PRESSURE.

We send a lot of money to Turkey every year and call them an ally ... they've been a member of NATO since 1952.
It's well past time to send them this message
Cudos to our POTUS for having enough hair on those big brass balls of his to do it. Turkey has long been a sacred cow in East Asia/The Middle East. Known as the country Where East Meets West and, for the most part, hands off by the U.S. while the USSR and now Russia have given us fits and caused us problems for a century ... post WWI.
Turks, for the most part, are very pro American. I was part of a team out of Italy that conducted military training there, to their troops, in the early 80s, and was always amazed at just how pro American they are and just how many of their citizens hold dual citizenship with them and us.
This will not end well for this current regime that is being controlled by The Muslim Brotherhood. And thaty what this is all about. First they caused problems for our Kurds against Syria, and then they started taking Americans hostage in an attempt to blackmail and extort us.
They don't wanna mess with Trump. He'll smack them down and not blink an eye while doing it.
I gotta believe Stephen Miller is guiding Trump right now because all of these moves Trump has been making are almost flawless in their timing.

So what is the specific goal of the tariffs?
With Trump it's like he is running around whipping neighborhood dogs but never letting the dogs know what the training is supposed to be. Whipping without expressing your actual goals usually doesn't serve much purpose.

Well...maybe the goal is to get the pastor released who's incarcerated there that's been all over the news lately. It could also be the numerous things their leadership has done against our interests the past couple of years as well.
