Fauchi is human like the rest of us. Humans are intrinsically fallible.
It should sicken the rest of the country that one single unelected bureaucrat who abuses such distinguished service to satisfy his hunger for the spotlight he has been hoisted into by those easily led by the nose.
The fact he cannot give a single straight answer should have clued even the simplest of minds to that.

Its telling that more than into this, not even the "nations foremost infectious disease expert" can provide some threshold to be met for people to be free to live their lives. They don't want to commit to some firm benchmark and box themselves in.

I was mostly pulling that a bit out of my arse because Colorado is currently averaging at 2 Covid deaths a day, but on average apparently 36,000 people a year so that still seems right to me: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Everything is open here. Besides some private businesses continuing to ask you to wear a mask, literally everything in my life is back to normal and has been for some time. When I see stuff like this I can’t believe some people are still living like it’s 2020.
