His dad is Gil Garcetti, the former LA DA who bungled the OJ Simpson trial from the outset by moving it to downtown LA.

I don’t think it really matters who the Dems put up at this point.
They have a bunch of ethnic “Great X Hopes” but no one with a lot of cross ethnic appeal nor a lot of accomplishments to hang their hat on.
It’s an extension of the problems they have had for a while now.
They lost several generations of farm talent between national wipeouts in 1994 and 2010, their problems winning governorships, getting wiped out in state legislatures under Obama, and some talent with high expectations flaming out spectacularly.
I’m specifically looking at Weiner on that one but they had others who shot themselves in the dick.
As a result, their bench of candidates are the same fogeys who have held safe seats forever and a few upstarts whose main claim to fame is their tribal membership.

The Democrats didn't lose because they couldn't get the coasts to show up. They lost because they have lost touch WI, OH, PA, MI. They damn near lost MN.

Which begs the question - how is the son of the man who failed to get convictions against the Rodney King cops and ran that Biblical disaster that was the OJ prosecution have any fricking shot at being President of the United States?
As a Democrat, no less? His nomination chances are 0, IMHO.
