The "caravan" is a Dem funded hail mary for pre-election optics

Plain and simple. The only legitimate win the Dems and Resistards had in the last year was the family separation issue that came with the last round of migrant caravans in the Spring. The images of children in cages and sob stories of children being away from their families was a universal negative for the Trump administration across party lines. It was a losing issue.
How convenient then that the only "win" for the Democrats re-manifests itself 2 weeks before a critical election? As the caravan and election day get closer, look for the MSM to start running sob stories to humanize the thousands into sympathetic individuals.
The play is to get the Trump administration to walk straight into their narrative like they did with the family separation stuff. Get Trump and company to send support troops to the border. Imagine the optics of a uniformed military man with a gun shouting down Maria and her 2 crying children. The hope is that the adminstration will either botch whatever response they try to roll out and it turns into disorganized chaos or that Trump will go a militant route and it turns into Trumps bigot force vs victimized immigrants seeking asylum.

Just now on the CBS evening news, a reporter highlighted two people from the caravan.
~A crying mother of 4 who brought along only her strongest child. In thin soled sandals, she told us that the most difficult part of this journey was that every day she gets farther away from her other 3 children.
~A paralyzed man in a wheelchair who's in search of a job and better doctors.
