I hope a take away from today is that nominees, or anyone being questioned, of any party, DO NOT have to sit there and Kiss these Senator/Congressman's pompous, pious assess.

A very small percentage of the voting public saw any of it live, much less the whole hearing. Opinions will be formed by edited sound bites and audio clips which can be fashioned anyway you want to convey a biased news report directed at a target audience. So, if you want to paint her as a sympathetic believable person, the material is there. Likewise with Judge Kavanaugh. Too bad there is not unbiased, objective reportage available. I thought he was close to perfect. She, not so much. Others will feel the absolute opposite depending on how it’s condensed.

I think that it was when he spoke of his wife and daughter saying their prayers. When his 10 yo daughter said that they should pray for the lady.... Powerful

Yep, her testimony was not memorable other than talk of beach friends. By having Ms Mitchell stay away from the details of the assault, they robbed Dems and media of uncomfortable sound bites. Talk of beach friends and other mundane shite including a trip to Safeway doesn’t drive the news cycle.
