The American people don't really give a frick about the Kurds

We helped the Kurds against ISIS. Not the other way around.
We did not send divisions down into the desert and recruit local Indian guides to help us fight the evil bad other tribe. They were getting their own villages and towns destroyed. Not us. The Kurds wanted to fight back against ISIS. Our interests aligned to stop them, but it was us who sent down indian guides to help them, not the other way around.
ISIS is no more, in any real sense. The Kurds need our protection so they can guard jails full of ISIS people? They can burn down the jails with everyone in them, or let the people go free. I don't give a frick. Not our problem. That's a Kurdish, Turk, and Arab problem.
We are not beholden to protecting, in perpetuity, every two bit tribe world wide who we once were on the same side in a conflict with. That's insanity.
Its the same insanity that keeps us sworn to protect Turkey with the full might of the US Army and Navy should anyone attack them. This is a 'key NATO ally in the region' were antagonizing here. If anything, Trump is choosing between a dirt farming desert tribe of communists and the nation that controls the Bosporus. Seems like a pretty easy choice and the smart one. But NOoooo00000oooooo
Jesus fricking christ. The collective brain trust in DC couldn't out think my 4 year old.

Turkey intends to establish a neutral zone in that region and send the Syrian refugees there that previously flooded Turkey.
Who has a problem with this?

Well, I heard on the news that Syria had offered for the Kurds to join the government forces...
I guess they are holding out for their own piece of the planet... Bold strategy that never seems to have worked out for them...

Kurds in both Syria and Iraq were getting whipped up and down just like Syrian and Iraqi armies were by ISIS, until Russia and USA stepped in. Peshmerga retreated from ISIS and left yazidi women and children to be captured. As far as ground troops, although initially got beat, nobody did more killing of ISIS fighters than Iraqi and Syrian troops. I’m talking about specifically ground troops, not counting air campaigns
ETA: Not to disredit the Kurds, they did some noble fighting also. But they also don’t mind killing innocent civilians themselves

Killing Gadhafi to prevent gold based currency has its drawbacks, doesn't it? Refugees flooding Europe used to be stopped by the strongman in the desert, but he wasn't nice.
The thing about the middle east is you have to either let them have a dictator and violate human rights, or you have to deal with their scum culture and religion in your back yard. Leaving one tribe of cavemen to rule leads to more of the same. All the while, the innocent women and children oppressed by these sub human shits suffer and are used as pawns by both sides for political gain.

None of the news media, celebrities, Democrats, or main stream republicans care about any of these people. We were crying about Aleppo while simultaneously bombing Mosul and Raqqa. Trump actually does care and realizes the longer we are there the more people are going to be killed. America is the direct and indirect cause of 100s of thousands being killed already in the ME.

The Kurds since ancient times have been among the worlds best fighters. That is why they were purposely broke up between the Turks, Syria, Iran and Iraq. It’s impossible now, but they would have been a great ally if United.

I don't care what happens in Turkey or Syria. TBH.
Do the Kurds really care about Atlanta, Chicago, or Baton Rouge? Not likely.
Why is it that we have to be so nosy and mind other peoples' business?

It's a shame that Kurdistan is a huge "nation" of 30,000,000 people without a sovereign state. It's spread out over 5 countries, who don't like each other. This is a problem that just won't quit.

They have been great mercenaries. Let's don't fool ourselves.

If memory serves me correctly most Americans didn't give a shite about entering WWII.....guess what? We all know what would have happened had we stayed out of the war in Europe.
