The 200,000 deaths thing seems like a scare tactic by the Trump team.

The team may have figured that we get 30,000 to 80,000 flu deaths with a vaccine so what's 200,000 without one. Or they may be trying to scare people into adhering to the rules of the road to bring this thing to a manageable level in 4 weeks. Truth is the Trump team is making significant progress. The rate of growth has slowed from about 30% a week ago to 13% so far today.
That's in the face of increased testing and the racism calls by Pelosi and DeBlasio to China travel bans and their insane encouragement to get out in the streets and party and celebrate the Chinese holidays. The deaths and suffering of thousands are on Pelosi and the good mayor's hands on that bit of lunacy. Unless they were trying to pump up the numbers of cases to hurt the president. If that's the case it was an act of pure evil.

The City of Houston announced we’re at 3 deaths so far. If we can just save one life this is all worth it.

But hey they didn't have a helluva time celebrating the Chinese new year either. Nancy P. says what a couple or 50,000 deaths when Trump's Chinese racism is at stake.

More lives would be lost from mass layoffs.

I think the “experts” are full of shite. Trump doesn’t have much of a choice but to play along. He know the virus is real but he also knows the reaction to it is bullshite.

Are you saying Trump can't stand up for himself? Because that's what it sounds like.

i don't think 200k dead (over 12 months or so) is unlikely. calling it a win or a loss depends on when we can start living somewhat normal lives again.

More people die falling down the stairs in Houston.
And for this we are shutting down the fourth largest city in the country.
