Thanks Impeachment: Trump Now Beating Every Democrat in Three Battleground States

Who knew that when it came to impeachment, its biggest benefactor would be President Donald Trump?
Everyone. Everyone knew that…except the Democrats apparently.
According to Firehouse Strategies, the battleground states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin all consistently showed that Trump was losing to Joe Biden in a match-up, but recently, polling from Firehouse shows that he’s now falling short of beating Trump by six points, and it’s all thanks to impeachment:
As the race currently stands, President Trump is in the lead in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in hypothetical match-ups against former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Bernie Sanders, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Across the three states, Trump’s closest contest is against Joe Biden, although the president leads by an average of 6 percentage points against each Democrat.

So what can we take away from this poll? Firehouse partner Alex Conant made a very interesting remark to that point.
“Democrats racing towards impeachment are at serious risk of leaving behind the voters they need to retake the White House next year,” said Conant.
quote:
Voters don’t believe Democrats anymore. After years of hearing about Russia and now months of hearing about Ukraine, and with absolutely nothing to show for it, the people are looking at the Democrats as the boy who cried “wolf.” They’ve tuned out.
Both figuratively, and very literally.
quote:
Every day brings some fresh hell for Democrats, who have so let their hatred for Trump cloud their judgment that they continue to act like angry children. The witnesses they bring forth have nothing of substance to add to the hearings, and only serve to reinforce the notion that they’ve become far more obsessed with how they feel than what they can prove.

I hope it’s like 1984 when they called it for Reagan soon as the first polls closed.
Actually no I hope the media strings them along for a couple hours giving them hope only to crush their hopes

The media will lie however they feel they need to to manipulate west coast votes.

For it to be like that, the minority percentage going for Trump would have to be sizable.
Doable but not highly likely without continued economic success.

I said this from the beginning, that the democrats were going to pay for this impeachment. And that was when I still thought Trump may have done something worthy of impeachment.
Now it's going to be an unmitigated disaster for them in 2020, both for the presidency and the house.
The american people don't like bullshite political spectacles when it comes to impeachment. The republicans learned their lesson in the 90s, but apparently the democrats were too stupid to learn the same lesson.

It’s not like any west coast states are swing states anyways

The party of men who have periods don’t like polls all of a sudden.

I hope a socialist has to cancel their fireworks party.

Everyone knows they were screaming for impeachment the day after the election. We were inundated with dozens of stories that Trump wouldn’t make it 90 days in office. Three years later they are still throwing shot against the wall trying to make something stick. These idiots have managed to keep the entire electorate engaged instead of allowing his base to become complacent.

The Democrats have dug their own graves over this insanity.

They are still not accurate. Add another 6-8%
Both points remain.

I've never heard of this polling outfit.

Seems like the right way to run a poll. Also, looking at the Wisconsin graph gave me a semi, and I already rubbed out my morning wood
quote:
Methodology Summary: The Firehouse/0ptimus survey was conducted 12/3 through 12/5 and interviewed 1,759 likely 2020 general election voters in Wisconsin (N = 610), Michigan (N = 551), and Pennsylvania (N = 598) via live landline (WI: 238; MI: 228; PA: 227), live cellphone (WI: 114; MI: 117; PA: 133), and peer to peer text message to web (WI: 258; MI: 206; PA: 238). Likely voters were identified as those who voted in either the 2016 or 2018 general elections plus additional voters who are expected to vote in the 2020 election as determined by 0ptimus turnout modeling. Each state sample was weighted by age group, gender, education, and political party to reflect the demographic characteristics of the likely voter population within each state. Margins of error vary by question and segment but is generally ± 4.1% in WI, ± 4.3% in MI, and ± 4.3% in PA for the topline results.
Our full methodology statement is available on our Github repository

Bears repeating. And merits boldface.
