Buh-bye
NBC news

A Texas appeals court upheld the conviction of green card holder Rosa Maria Ortega for voter fraud on Wednesday, cementing a sentence of eight years in jail and a likely deportation. Ortega, a mother of four, reportedly thought she was able to vote because she was a permanent resident. She voted five times between 2004 and 2014 — once for the attorney general, Ken Paxton, who later prosecuted her, according to her attorney. She also reportedly served as a poll worker.

How was she able to vote at all? I thought Texas had extremely tough voter ID laws...

Now that they have the conviction with sentence, I wonder what sort of deal she gets to turn on the people that helped her through the process. Especially if she can take down a politician

Lo siento Rosa Maria.
You should have claimed that you didn’t intend to break the law, tsk, tsk.
Perhaps a white guilt riddled liberal will create a GoFundMe account to pay Comey, Rodham and Associates to manage your appeal.

Damn 8 years? Trump needs to tweet about this. It’s the only way for the media to cover it.

The Fifth Circuit, in Veasey v Abbott considered evidence presented to the Texas legislature when the Texas Voter ID law passed in 2014:
quote:
Representative Fischer testified that the Legislature had access to data from the 2008 and 2010 elections when considering SB 14, which showed that “of the millions of votes cast in both of those elections, there were four referrals for in-person voter impersonation.”
