They need to read the Constitution where someone's faith does not disqualify them for office. Article 6 Clause 3

The problem (for leftists) is that she actually seemingly takes her faith seriously. Joe is routinely denied communion because he’s not really a Catholic.

They are going to try.
Attacking a somewhat anonymous legal mind for their beliefs doesn’t necessarily get backlash.
Doing so in full view of the country because of how highlighted this hearing will be? God may have mercy on their souls but I think the voters won’t.

Could somebody on the Judiciary Committee raise a point of order that under Article VI of the Constitution, "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States", and thus call the line of questioning out of order?
