I know that it will never happen but the easiest solution to the problem of federal big government is to demand your fair share of taxes collected by the government from the state citizens and refuse any further support by the government that comes with any strings attached that way the 10th amendment will allow the states to have their own say

Straightforward and easy to comprehend.

I would think somebody affiliated with Auburn comprehend comprehend a simple concept like I wrote above

Perhaps Siri is to blame as I did this while I was driving

The simple concept is if the states would get off the government teet They would have all the autonomy they want and running their own affairs

A taxpayer revolt would never happen. The government enacted withholding so that you cannot prevent taxation of salary. They can also levy and seize bank accounts. Ultimately the government could force the sale of assets like your home. It's a great concept, but the government has anticipated it and has the tools to defeat it.

I’m not talking about a taxpayer revolt. Simply put, the people’s taxes paid to the federal government are to run that government and any additional is provided to the states in a prorated basis. So if the fed decides to give CA money, you are entitled to many based on proportional taxes paid by your citizens.

If the state takes no additional money, the government has zero say in how the state operates

I think the 16th Amendment would make that impossible. It gives Congress the power to levy an income tax without apportionment.

The apportionment deals with collection of taxes not the distribution after collected, at least according to what I read and the amendment was in response to the supreme court’s decision in Pollock.

I think an argument can be made that fed gov cannot give all tax money to Cali for example with nothing to any other state. However, if money goes to states other than fed gov, it can also be argued it cannot be given with strings, at least up to the percentage of what was paid.
