This doesn't mean its acceptable. It just means there is a tradition of ignoring the constitution with our executive, and congress seems ok with that.

the only point with any salience here is that you idiots are all calling an eminently reasonable and broadly-supported position a "talking point"

Instead of parroting "comprehensive strategy" why not (not necessarily you) be specific and define this strategy instead of appealing to some ambiguous platitude?

what i'm actually arguing for first is a statement of our actual goal, given that we've already acted with force

Or, how about we stop telling people who are against this Syria conflict to defend something they are against?

Novel idea, I know

"Comprehensive strategy" = ambiguous platitude

ambiguous meaning unclear or inexact and platitude meaning a remark or statement, especially one with a moral content, that has been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful.

I'm asking for a specific strategy. First state the objective(s). Then state the strategy so we can understand what comprehensive strategy means. Everyone of these people that tweeted "comprehensive strategy" has a different interpretation of "comprehensive strategy". At this point, it's essentially a meaningless term.

Uhh, other nations are involved, as you know we're trying to crush ISIS and prevent a POS leader from killing his own people. you know "do the right thing without getting too involved"

How much more of a strategy do you need to know?

Media is the Devil

when you act dumb, you are playing inside the devil's web.

Well, to be fair, they all had to wait until they were unplugged/recharged and Soros pulled the talking points hose out of their throats before they could all regurgitate the same blather in unison.

oh well i agree with that

but none of those people are responsible for the action that has happened

i think expecting these things of people who have the authority to have executed the action already, and have done so, should come a little higher on the priority list

Great post.

Progtard liberals wouldn't drink the water if you drug them to it, and stuffed their muzzles in it until the choked. Look at the cross section of idiots who tweeted "comprehensive strategy". It's not just Pelosi and DWS, it's the entire swamp. Bunch o' warmonger shitstains, all of them!! We don't need your war machines!!!

Trump announces we're pulling out. Chem weapons deployed [by ??? ]in retaliation to try to force USA to stay & dig in as world police. USA bombs the tar out of the chem weapons facilities, and now all arms (R & D) of the beast are chanting comprehensive strategy.

that doesn't really go well with the "mission accomplished"-esque stuff we've been hearing though

The case has to be made for a "comprehensive strategy".

Then we can argue against or for that "comprehensive strategy".

I don't know what comprehensive strategy means at this point so I have no argument against or for something that does not exist.

Nope no collective deep state giving out info to its news speak. Just a big coincidence. Move along...

Nope, and we don't really need a Syrian strategy. It just so happens that ISIS is in Syria and our strategy on ISIS has been very clear. Kill them no matter where they are at. The launch into Syria was because of Chemical weapons use. Don't need a strategy for that either.

No it doesn't it's a talking point, as the OP says. it's like saying "thoughts and prayers" after a school shooting. That typically happens when people who aren't involved want to make a statement.

I'm against anything other than "get the frick out of there". I don't need a comprehensive strategy.

Then stop worrying about it
