If true, this would be huge news. I will believe it when it is officially confirmed. If somehow (highly doubtful) they got them without US confirmation the Biden regime would try to disarm them.
We talked Ukraine out of theirs when the Soviet Union fell with a promise to protect the sovereignty of Ukraine. I bet Ukraine regrets that decision.

1) Taiwan does NOT have nuclear weapons.
2) if Taiwan does have Nukes, their President would be singing it from every rooftop.
3) Taiwan had a short lived nuclear weapons program, but it was scrapped and never amounted to success.

China would have noticed it if they created it. It’s possible maybe Nixon smuggled one over there, but that would risk World War III. I don’t see almost any reason how they could actually have a nuke.

Get crazier with it. Taiwan has some South African nukes from them getting rid of their program as Apartheid came to a head.

How long did it take Israel to confirm they had them even tho it was the worst kept secret on Earth?

Where did Israel get theirs?

That would be crazy if true. Nelson Mandela wiping out the commies.

Apparently they did have a program and attempted to acquire nukes at some point...
NTI
I could see it being a bluff or I could see it as having had for some time as well...

How long did India have theirs before they revealed it to the world in the 90s?
I know the US got caught flat footed on that one and the spies on the ground over there were in deep shite for missing it.

I think you and I (and others) are in agreement that's it's definitely possible they have them. Maybe it was Trump's way of saying "even if I'm not in office you can defend yourself against Chinerman"

This, and China would be raising holy hell from the rooftops. If Taiwan developed or was given the bomb, China would have moved already.

Bouncing bombs are.
Nukes would vaporize a lot of the water.
And when water starts flowing again. With no dam there....

China's spies are better than ours, and Taiwan is crawling with them at every level of government and society. China would know and would have thrown a shite fit.

Taiwan has capabilities, but Japan has increased their defense budget x10 in the last few years. Look at where Taiwan is positioned. Just 50 miles from the nearest Japanese island of Yoganuni.
2 months ago CCP threatened the Japanese that china would repeatedly nuke Japan if they tried to keep China from "liberating" Taiwan.
Japan in 2 years time has increased not only spending but manufacturing and has added missile-deterrents to nearby islands as well as increasing ground troop training, but preparing their navy.
In the past the CCP has stated they "would never use nuclear arms against a non-nuclear power." Japan doesn't have any nukes.
China really is Asshoe

They don't confirm it.

And where would people have gotten these more recently? Pakistan.
A Q Khan was selling tech to all kinds of countries to build this shite until we shut him down in the 2000s IIRC.

They don't have nukes, correct. Their doctrine is instead to have all of the pieces to make one sitting next to each other and ready to go if nukes are needed

Taiwan is perhaps one of the last countries on earth that Pakistan would give the bomb to. They are way too far up Beijing's arse for that. They need China for infrastructure investment and as a deterrent for India.

How much of Khan’s work was him doing things for Pakistan and how much was him enriching himself?
Pakistan’s various internal organizations like the ISI are beholden only to themselves, not the political or military leadership.
And who is to say someone else wasn’t positioned as a straw buyer on Taiwan’s behalf?

True. Global Times (China's english state sponsored propaganda media) was recently claiming that US commandos were in Taiwan. They are raising hell about that claiming it was an invasion of Chinese sovereign territory. They would go ballistic meltdown if nuclear weapons were in Taiwan.
