“Surviving” COVID-19 is now a “pre-existing condition”

GTFO with this.
I had influenza last year and i was treated by my PCP. Got Tamiflu. Insurance company knows about this.
I also got COVID in June. Went to PCP. Got a script for a steroid. Insurance company knows.
Guess what?
Got our renewal in the mail from our health carrier.
THEY ARE NOT REFUSING TO COVER ME BECAUSE I HAVE THE PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS OF INFLUENZA AND THE CHINA VIRUS.
POS lying politicians.

I mean the issue is they are coming out saying Trump is getting rid of preexsisting conditions. The democrats know millions have had the rona and if they can scare them into think that covid won’t get them insurance if the ACA is taken away.

When it comes to insurance companies I wouldn't put it past them that they would try to make it one. I don't trust the those greedy arse bastards one bit.

The disease itself is not a prexisting condition but it can cause permanent damage that would then become prexisting for future coverage.
The left never misses an opportunity to confuse and conflate to score a political point.

Ugh well it wouldn't technically be classified as "COVID" if it did cause permanent damage or some type... The damage would be the preexisting condition...

This is why I refused to get tested in any way. Insurance companies are dirty.

The problem here is when they don't discern asymptomatic and extremely mild (common cold-like symptoms) from the actual significant complications COVID-19 causes in a small percentage of people who don't die from it.
Because it's all one big political game right now where the left wants every case to considered a plague, you're getting bullshite like this where it's a "pre-existing condition."

Pre existing issues don’t effect you if you work for a company that offers insurance. I was born with a issue and have to always have a job to have health insurance. It’s part of life . Obamacare was only good for people who don’t work . This pre exist condensation BS is just democrats pushing fear to get votes .

Exactly. And it would require diagnosis to be documented as a prexisting condition.
