In the event that any of you are looking for some new political fiction with which to kick-back by the pool/beach this summer, I just finished reading The Terminal List by literary newcomer/Navy SEAL, Jack Carr.
If you’re a fan of Vince Flynn or Brad Thor, you’ll likely enjoy this one.
And if you’re a firearms/knife aficionado, it’s a can’t miss.
Also, if you’ve read any good books recently, I’d love to hear some other suggestions.

A Navy SEAL has nothing left to live for and everything to kill for after he discovers that the American government is behind the deaths of his team in this ripped-from-the-headlines political thriller.
On his last combat deployment, Lieutenant Commander James Reece’s entire team was killed in a catastrophic ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government.
Now, with no family and free from the military’s command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he’s learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward avenging the deaths of his family and teammates. With breathless pacing and relentless suspense, Reece ruthlessly targets his enemies in the upper echelons of power without regard for the laws of combat or the rule of law.

Ha.
It’s obvious that many of his characters are “inspired” by current political names; but it’s fiction.
ETA: pardon my temporary insanity. Fixed. Thanks.

Non-fiction = prose writing that is based on facts, real events and real people, such as biography or history.

yeah, it’s nonfiction
I have really, really, got to start keeping up with current events.

Do not ask me why I just spaced out as I did.
Oy.
Thanks.
(and believe it or not, I’m an editor)

Plot sounds identical to Vince Flynn's first book - Term Limits.

Are you looking for fiction or is any genre ok?

I've seen it a few times and passed because I didn't know anything about the author.
I love Rapp books, but the genre is oversaturated at this point with really dumb versions of the same book. So is this more like Flynn or more like Ben Coes?

Either are good.
(Though I just finished Killing the Deep State by Corsi, and wasn’t as taken with it as I thought I’d be)
I find recommendations to be much more valid than bestseller lists.
Thanks, conservativewifeymom.
