The DOJ fall person saying not to charge Clinton is David Laufman, DOJ Deputy Assistant Attorney General in charge of counterintelligence. Let's see how far the trail leads.

Did you read the transcript? Lisa page states the exact opposite. Strozk was hesitant to join the SP because it would not advance his career in the FBI. It would take him out of the FBI checkbox sequence to climb the management ladder if he was on the SP.

I wish...nothing will happen. Also, all we have are some vaguely worded statements that do not solidify either guilt or a crime.
How is hoping that something will happen that is potentially good for you a crime?
In this circumstance it appears to be scummy, but we know everyone in DC is scum. Unfortunately that alone is not a crime.
Nothing. Will. Ever. Happen.
How you can watch everything unfold, on both sides, and not be completely jaded by it all and still have hope is beyond me.

He also considered doing it to enhance his career because Watergate folks are still getting high profile gigs. The issue was he didn't think there would be a "there there" so, although high profile, it would cripple his FBI career and wouldn't be as prestigious because it is a nothing.

McCabe and Baker are already under Grand Jury investigation. So something is already happening. Huber and Horowitz will have to testify and report back. There is way too much public exposure for them to just brush this under the rug.
