Delgado would probably be best off to ignore this.

His actions last time around shitcanned his own chances at becoming mayor and helped ensure that SWB would get elected.

SWB getting elected has pretty much made St George necessary because she changed the situation from “need to separate due to EBR Parish schools” to “We need a whole new city because this dumb bitch is turning BR into Jackson / Detroit.”

They didn’t get to vote last time due to the petitions getting rejected.

let them have it. now that the mall, casino and medical district are in Baton Rouge city limits, who cares?

let them have a city with outrageous property taxes to fund their 95% white school district.

How dare they want to pay taxes in order to fund a public service to educate their children!!

They should definitely just live with paying outrageous private school tuition or risking the god awful shitholes of the EBRP school system.

Just to indulge you, why does demographic matter at all?

I suspect that Delgado and his new trophy fiancée will be for it.

Funny how pics of his little daughter on FB have stopped and now it’s his new bride to be 24/7. Ole baw living the American dream

And between changes in state law, a more compact district and more experienced leadership that probably won't happen again.

But that still leaves a potential lawsuit. They should start planning their legal defense now.

Fine.

And Baton Rouge schools can just continue going to shite.

People are fed up with having to pony up to send their kids to private schools because Baton Rouge schools (which they’re already paying for) are total shitholes. It’s basically double taxation.

Will be interesting to see how much they raise property taxes to support a better school system.

There is a lot of hate towards Houston in here for high property taxes, but the schools are amazing and no state income tax.

you will have high property taxes and state income tax, plus Louisiana taxes. Not the greatest of situations

My sister pays around $18,000 per year to send her two boys to Catholic schools. Somehow, I don’t think they could come out any worse.

What will this do to property values in South Baton Rouge outside of St. George (but very close)?

After seeing what Baton Rouge wants to do with law enforcement, schools, and infrastructure spending.....you'd be foolish not to support a new incorporated city in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Only reason that I wouldn’t call that out more is that the zoo has been the focus of major bitching by NBR for a long time.

There was always going to be a new study saying that, it just had its release pushed up due to this announcement,
