Spoke with Iranian coworker today

I spoke with a coworker today who is from Iran. I asked if his family was safe and he said that his family has moved out of Tehran for obvious reasons. He told me that basically the government of Iran has collapsed. Many of the people in Iran do not like or support the current regime. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I work with a few SEO guys from Iran. I started a relationship with them about 2 years ago on a service called Fiverr to do a lot of SEO grunt work for me - they were just awesome guys to work with. They were very talented at SEO stuff. I didn’t know them in person but through what’s app and Fiverr chat
They were friggin thrilled about everything going on because they view their government like MAGA views Democrats - they said that they are evil and cannot wait for the day that they will no longer be in power - oh and they love America and our sports (especially NBA) - just good dudes, but I’m concerned about their safety because I haven’t heard from any of them in like 4-5 days

The conservative thinking of Iran is too outdated. The older generation likes it but the young ones will eventually take over

Now’s the time for Iranian people
To stand up.

I’ve noticed they always say this when wars start.
Very interesting. I have a 20 year study going. Every time, we don’t support them.
It always interest me when they tell me 90% is against the government yet nothing changes, ever.

I think we're going to see a regime change without U.S. military action. There's a deal being worked out..

If you are dealing with people who are educated, they are going to tell you they hate the current regime, but they are a small minority in Iran. The average Iranian probably does not mind the government overall. Whether it was the Shah or the Mullahs they probably see very little difference.
It's not a middle class country or even close to it. When I say they don't mind, don't equate that with like. Whereas the literacy rate is quite high, the standard of living is not all that great by western standards. They have fuel shortages and unreliable electric grid.

I know several Iranian families. Most are physicians here. It's amazing to me that the refugees and "regular" people in Iran see this as a real opportuity to overthrow the repressive terrorist regime while people here are protesting in favor of these brutal terrorists. My friends are hoping for someone from the Pahlavi family to step up..Iran was once one of the most highly educated and prosperous nations in the region. Not saying the Shah was a Saint by any means, but he wasn't set on destroying the world for the sake of the mujahideen. The regime is being decimated and I hope it continues until they are irradicated...nuclear weapon or not.

The government blocked a lot of stuff when the fireworks started.

Most of the Iranians here are here because they were supporters of thd Shah. Obviously, the current regime will not be popular among them. They are not representative of popular sentiment in Iran.

This is why there is no right to bear arms in Iran.

These folks should have risen up years ago. We can’t help them if the can’t help themselves.
