I’m shocked and disgusted.
My little brother (Ahmet) walking around Atlanta, gets a gun pulled on him,and robbed.

When will we have some normal gun control measures?
This is not okay & not normal.

We need to keep demanding peace & change, and stop putting guns in peoples hands.

If only Atlanta had strict gun laws like Chicago, New York, and DC, this would not have happened.

Lol what’s a normal gun control measure? I also hate the phrase “it’s not ok and it’s not normal”. Such a childish way to express emotion.

So if there was a law in place to prevent this then the criminal wouldn’t have broken it? So criminals only break one law at a time?

“I’d rob this guy but I’m not going to break the gun laws”

How about robbery control? Is robbing people illegal there?

Thugs want the situation to their advantage.
If you had a weapon to fight back some thugs think twice.

I also bet this weapon was not bought legally.

The idiocy of a statement like this is monumental.
More gun laws will no more stop crooks from getting guns than a” no guns allowed” sticker on the glass of a school prevents people from bringing them in!

I know. What a joke. It’s like the new,” anti-Asian” hate crime legislation will somehow lessen anti-Asian incidents.

Well.....actually, in majority black cities run by democrat mayors, D.A.s, and city counsels, it's all too "normal" and no one seems to give a f*ck until it happens to them soooooo, yeah it seems to be okay.

Did he actually say that Chicago is less violent because of their strict gun laws? That’s ignorance on a whole different level

NBA guy is stupid.

Armed robbery is the gun control measure. Can’t rob folks while armed. What a fricking moron. If you posses a twit account, please go troll this moron.

It's just a phrase he heard and so he repeats it just like a brainless parrot.

No, sorry, that’s my commentary there at the end. I thought some spaces would separate and distinguish it from the tweet. Sorry for the confusion.

* will edit and add more spaces

I think having guns made illegal would most certainly reduce how much crime is commited, but the laws have to be ENFORCED. The problem is the gun laws of today are often not enforced. Cops might be willing to let a gun charge just "go away" if they get something else".

I mean, I know all the "Law and Order" tv series shows are just that, TV, but there is some truth to it when they show some guy getting found with a gun in his waistband being told "Okay, listen here Mario, we're not interested in you, and we're willing to forget about the gun we found on you, just tell us what you know about the Murder of Smith, who killed Smith? Where can we find him or her?"

The thing is, cases like that get dropped all the time (and others too, we all know how many cases are now not being prosecuted because they are seen as too minor, that's why crime is up).

Point being, lets start with enforcing what we have now and see where that leads.
