Can you imagine being the guy that has to park where the picture was taken with all those empty spaces with a cone in them?
Cones are $10 to $25 each minimum depending on quality and bulk purchase... even at $10 that's a lot of money... you know the guy that put them out is union too...

It’s probably social distancing to allow for party members of one car to tailgate at their car. Stupid nonetheless, but it isn’t too terribly hard to understand the goal.

Stupid, yes. Especially in that situation. I saw a theme park doing something similar back in June. After the initial "socially distancing cars wtf?", it made more sense. They were letting the first every-other spot carloads all get out of their cars and walk away, then would go back and fill in the empties. That way, you weren't getting out of your car 2 feet away from people also getting out of their car. Still stupid, but okay.
