Have not kept up with any of it, what is the high-level, legit or BS.

Bush Mafia/Uniparty don't like him and all his lawsuits against the feds. That makes me like him more.

Many on the PT will blame the "uniparty" or the "Bushes", but Paxton has been playing fast and lose with ethics and the laws for a long time and it seems like Abbott and Dan Patrick have had enough and decided that they would no longer cover for him.
The vote to impeach by the committee last week does not happen without implicit approval from those two which gave cover for the Texas House to overwhelmingly impeach him. If you want to speak about the politics end.
It had to be pretty much in your face activity for Abbott and Patrick to allow it to go forward.

He was in a glass house and threw a rock at the TX speaker.

Right. He sort of dared the main powers in that respect. But like I said. If Abbott and Patrick don't give tacit approval, that referral by the committee never happens.

There have been some things where Paxton was on the edge of legal but the reality of the current situation is he is being taken out for beating a Bush in Texas. Something you are not allowed to do and survive.

I think he may have been dirty. But it's the Trump kind of dirty.

He has been under "indictment" since before his last term started. If he did do something worthy of impeachment how do you tell given the environment of bullshite?

If the House impeaches him it still has to pass the Republican dominated Senate and that is where it stops.

He's been under investigation, but it's by the FBI, so probably doesn't mean a damn thing.

Here are the 20 articles of impeachment: LINK /
The TX House voted 121-23 to impeach.
He also settled an SEC civil case for $3 million and is trying to get taxpayers to pay it.
But this is just a witch hunt ya see, because he beat a Bush!

Paxton is a Trump guy that pushes back against the establishment.
Posted on 5/30/23 at 9:49 am to BurntOrangeMan
He's also the ATTORNEY GENERAL. If you can't find someone clean for that job who's also "a Trump guy that pushes back against the establishment" then what is the point of any of this?

He's a convenient Culcha Warrior. Meaning he's an extreme opportunist like every other Trump supporting incumbent. But that's OK on this board and the "conservative" blogosphere. He supports DJT and that's all that matters and if trips over his own dick or screws himself due to corruption, there is no shortage of "RINO" boogeyman to blame. Right now it's the Bushes....or Karl Rove, or maybe Paul Ryan stuck his tentacles......oh, yeah There is Mitch McConnell.....or Greg Abbott is a closeted RINO along with Dan Patrick......or they could go for broke and blame Soros....but Soros is mainly someone who funds elelctions.

A classic case of fox guarding the henhouse, as far as his ethics.
Also more concerned with whatever MAGA issue is hot at the moment, instead of being…. you know, the leader of the state’s law enforcement.

Exactly. He jumps on whatever is popular with MAGA because he knows those knights will show up for him. And it's mostly worked.
Also, he needs to pay his own fricking settlement, not me.
