You cannot force anyone to take it, its against their religion.

A time-honored American tradition since 1776

But to answer your question, I think it will get ugly. I feel like you do (though I don't get flu shots) and I think a lot of others feel the same.

The average age of the people who died from this virus is late 70s. My response to a rushed out vaccine is thanks but I’ll take my chances. Give it to the folks at risk.

I work in healthcare, am a frontline worker, hate antivaxers and get a flu shot every year.

I won’t take a rushed corona vaccine.

It will take them a long time to get through the court battle if they try to make me or my family take it. That includes sending my kids to school.

I need YEARS of tests and studies on it before I even think about letting my kids take it.

However, chances are every state will pass some law requiring it for schools and then someone's kid will end up dropping dead or some shite.

My question is will schools require children to get it?

I'm not an anti-vaxer (although I look at vaccinations as a risk-benefit issue), I just hate needles

There will be thousands of lawyers setting up shop for a class action lawsuit from the side effects.

Based on apparent new government powers and the public's limp response to them, I think you can get a preview by watching the video of the lady in NYC being wrestled to the ground because she's not wearing a mask.

We get to find out how many antivaccers will deny themselves the immunity instead of only their children.

I say 60% take the shot!

There won’t be a vaccine ! In the history of mankind there have been ZERO corona virus vaccines including the common cold. . There has been one made for a dog and a cat but no humans .... ever . Good luck shutting everything down till we get a vaccine !

As I understand it, the thing with anti-vaxers is not that they're opposed to vaccinations per se, but concerned about the adverse side effects that go with a given vaccination. I'm not a medical expert but there seems to be enough data out there to at least legitimately raise questions. On top of that, if people feel like a CV19 vaccination is rushed but they're told they're required to take it, yeah I can see some pushback.

I’m not going to hang my hat on a vaccine.
But your conventional wisdom may not be as wise as you assume.

There has been very little demand for human corona vaccines. There would be poor profits for a common cold vaccine since the over-the-counter meds are effective and cheap, and the disease is relatively mild at its worst. And the very fact that high demand has produced veterinary vaccines proves its possible. Chinese espionage puts them in the believers column as well.

Good luck. I refuse the Spanish flu vaccine every year. I’ll refuse the Wuhan flu vaccine too.

I disagree. I would imagine if there were a vaccine available to prevent the common cold MANY people would take it. Though it may be just a mild inconvenience, NO ONE likes dealing with a cold. As an alternative theory to yours, perhaps there hasn't been a demand to develop a cold vaccine because over-the-counter medicine to fight it is a multi-billion dollar industry.

As is the case for many, many people who have gotten Covid-19. Including those who didn't experience any symptoms at all

Covid 19 is a coronovirus as is the common cold. They have been fighting the cold forever and there is no vaccine to prevent it.
I expect Covid 19 in one form or a mutated other form to be around forever.
Unless those having been infected with it develop a lifetime immunity (which I highly doubt) it will forever come creeping back out of the recesses just like Polio, Smallpox, Ebola, Bubonic Plague, and others, all either temporally hiding in wait in nature, or in some government laboratory for research or waiting to be used as a weapon. Polio is a good example, supposedly gone from the US, its showing its ugly side in remote areas of Africa today. None seem to ever go extinct, They are just waiting for their time. Bubonic plague, for instance, pops up regularly in the drier areas of the U.S. from rodent transmission.
