Just piss them all off and not give a damn about their little trial. What’s the penalty? He ain’t running again. He will be fully supported by all his supporters if not gain more.

He doesn’t get inaugurated again until early March so I say enjoy some well deserved time off while the military sorts this out.

All he needs to do is submit a list of people he wants to subpoenas and they will drop all of it!

I'm right there with you. It would make sense of the post we all saw that said:
"You can't tell them, you have to show them."

They are being shown.

He’d be the first president in history found guilty by the Senate.

Guilty of what? Trying to clean up Washington and give the government back to the people?

What's it like living in a world that's completely separated from reality?

First off, impeachment is solely intended as a process for removal. The "election" already accomplished that.

Roberts won't proceed, primarily because he's the most timorous Chief Justice in US history. More importantly though, there is no Constitutional basis for his involvement.

So this will be a trial, conducted solely by Congress, and targeting a private citizen with punishment if found guilty. I am certain your legal expertise can be brought to bear on Constitutionality of such an effort ... or lack thereof.

In short, it ain't.

If Schumer proceeds, Trump should show him both middle fingers, and drop the thing right back in John Roberts' quivering lap. SCOTUS can then decide if a legislature in and of itself can take on roles of judge, jury, and executioner disrespecting rights of a common citizen.

It's political suicide for Republicans if they convict him. They have nothing to gain by allowing this sham to go forward. If they convict him, Trump will use his popularity to undermine them in the 2024 primaries and general.

If they stand up for him, they will get his support and show all of Trump's supporters that they still have some redeeming qualities.

I disagree. Day 1 he should stroll right in and watch all the commies start crying.

I fully expect them to limit who he can have subpoenaed. If he attempts to bring up election issues they will say those issues are irrelevant to the events of January 6.
