Denies knowing about the payment? Does the NDA outline a payment was made? Yes there was an NDA, no payment was made to my knowledge.

Is this possible?
Maybe Trump's lawyer had a NDA drawn up and had Ms. Daniels sign it without trump's knowledge? Maybe the lawyer felt he was protecting Trump's best interests by doing this. She would certainly be held to the agreement even if Trump knew nothing about it, and if he was made aware of the NDA after the fact, he could certainly hold her to the agreement....or at least his lawyer could.

Would be an ethics violation and an illegal in kind campaign contribution, which is why this is still a story. Cohen might get in big trouble if this is true.
