I hadn't heard that McConnell made that argument but it's stupid.

Oh he didn't just "make that argument. He flat stated it on the congressional floor less than 3 weeks ago.

The precedent argument is the dumbest. It would be one thing if no president had ever declared a state of emergency.

But but but it's TOTALLY different when Trump does it. So obvious.

I wouldn’t consider 3 billion from a budget that ranges from 600 billion-1.5 trillion in certain years a raid, but, use whatever words to want to make yourself feel better about your position.

150B to Iran. I’m fine with 8B for border security, however he gets it.

Screw Congress (the Swamp).

Separation of powers doesn't have a damn thing to do with pissing on a Constitutional mandate. Neither the President, nor the legislature, nor the judiciary, has the right, power, or the option to piss on the US Constitution!

The scope of the federal government's power is a separate question from the scope of the president's power. The president cannot act outside of Article II. In our country the Congress makes the laws, the president enforces them, and the Supreme Court interprets them. That's middle school Civics class.

Years of complaints of Obama's executive orders and Trump fires off this EMD and everyone is happy?

This says that the United States shall protect the states against invasion. It does not give the president authority to act outside of Separation of Powers.

The President is Chief Executive of the United States.

The operative word here is executive. Who exactly do you think executes the aforementioned protection?

Yes. Because TRUMP is doing it for us instead of doing it to us like Obama was.

The only thing I complained about Obama was every move he made was to intentionally weaken this country and strengthen our foes.

Trump is a true patriot setting out to correct all of Obama's mess.

Don't compare actions by Obama to Trump. We are enjoying a booming economy, too many jobs and lower taxes.

I'm so happy to see that its finally sinking in for you libs. This isn't a new train of thought. For many moons (language the party of fauxahontas can understand) its been said to be careful what power you give the leader you like because you're giving the other guy the same power once he's in office. We tried to warn you libs but mr. mom jeans had already stolen your heart.

The Bushes gave the dems a lot of votes too, but they didn't give us a wall. If Trump loses in 2020 I will be sad. But damn glad the wall went up!

I am not a fan of the Bushes , but how did they give Dems votes ?

They never granted Amnesty, Reagan did.
