Incorrect: Suburban mom is what she brings to the table. Suburban moms will admit that everything is worse now than it was 2017-2019, it’s just Donald Trump is such a boar that they can’t bear the thought of voting for him. If however Trump’s VP is largely an antithesis to him and a smart Patriotic veteran, that changes things.

And something you’re really underestimating here are the VP debates. Tulsi will unquestionably slaughter her to the point where they should charge $99.99 Pay Per View given how brutal it’s going to be. With Joe Biden getting reelected, it’s a 99% guarantee that Kamala will be the President. With Trump and Tulsi, there’s maybe a 30% that she’ll be President.

They will be looking at that difference, already knowing what a Trump term looks like, and then thinking there’s no way in hell Kamala can be allowed to become President. She’s by far the worst option of the four of them. That will be the biggest VP debate in American history bar none because both are well into the double digit chances of becoming President themselves should they be elected with their running mate.

Suburban moms vote for whoever TikTok tells them to vote for. Thinking you are going to make a dent in that demographic by throwing Gabbard on the ticket is as dumb as thinking Scott or Donalds will deliver more than 10-12% of the black vote.

Ron Paul and Tulsi Gabbard agree with each other on basically everything on foreign policy and border related. The economy is really the only thing they disagree on.

No, that’s Gen Z. And even them, Trump’s currently beating Biden in the youth vote.

I mean, I’m not positive on Tulsi Gabbard’s opinion on the Federal Reserve, but those are big enough similarities where you’re not enemies of the other.

Anyone that identifies as a democratic socialist on economic policy is no friend of mine, and someone I do not want at all in the POTUS line of succession, much less being first up.

Her propensity to own the libs on a debate stage and have basic common sense on foreign affairs doesn't change that analysis. There are actual conservatives with those positions.

Your quote about Obama.

OK...and?

Is your whole point supposed to be that people should throw their votes away on nonsense third parties because neither of the two major parties prioritize preservation of the Second Amendment?

ETA: Because "lesser of two evils" is as foundational to American society/politics as apple pie and baseball. That is the system we have, and unless or until there is some sort of change to the electoral system its all we will ever have.

My point is the same as it was from the start..."people are stupid" isn't a meaningful argument to me.

Well, I never made the statement so I'm confused why you brought it up at all.

I guess this makes you as irrelevant as the libertarians when it comes to political discussion then, I suppose. If you aren't willing to work in the framework of reality, what's the point?

Why is that so funny? It is difficult to shore up that vote They are flaky, mostly picky.

Take the Pittsburgh PA burbia moms. that lean dumb as a box of hammers left...They are only attracted to abortion rights and maybe have a lick of common sense... If God forbid they lost a child in Afghanistan related wars. To suddenly seeing the wars are fake and based on WMD lies and or Biden got their child killed in that atrocious pullout.

So Tulsi could appeal to them. No one near Trump would ever appeal to their overall ignorance though. So let's leave them out of it they venture left.

Your point being? Two party systems are inherent in our electoral system and those like it. Its mathematical and sociological.

Fantasizing about alternatives is nice, but when choosing candidates in reality, is pragmatism not the best option?

As an aside, you just have to laugh at people who complain about "the system"...then lose their fricking minds about anyone who declines to participate in "the system."

It is what we have, and there is no political will from any relevant portion of the population or political spectrum to change it.

Waste your vote, I don't care what you do. But it isn't some noble undertaking to ignore reality, either.

Sigh.

"People are stupid" isn't a meaningful argument to me.

There's no such thing as a wasted vote.
