smokin a Cohiba and drinkin some good burbon laughing at the morons who bought all the toilet paper a week after i bought the normal 48pk we buy and bought all the food after we already stocked up during our normal shop and meal planning for the month. Glad that i changed my life path when i was 40 and got a quality job in power generation which is job security that i never had in my quarter century previously as a chef.
laughing at the "preppers" who think this is the zombie apocolypse and the libtards who think "THEY GOT HIM NOW!!" knowing that the offfer we are putting on our first house will be accepted without a counter offer.
Life is good and being part of this community on TigerDroppings even though i did not goto LSU is a blessing that I owe to Bard who brought me here over a decade ago, and i am grateful for the calm and steady reality the sane posters bring to us and the oppertunity we all have to laugh at the rexcatur moronic vor posting fools, brings a special joy to my heart.
May god bless us all and may we all partake in Keeping America Great.

You're drunk... and I'm jealous.
This place is anything but calm, but it is consistent as hell, which is close to your calling it "steady." But I dig it after a long time, myself. Actually i think 10 years-ish also. Just swapped over to selling widgets that also are a human need rather than disposable income. Boy is it fricking encouraging. Meanwhile, the last industry I was in was the opposite. It was pure entertainment dollars. Long as the USPS runs, we are good to go.
Enjoy the bourbon. Maybe it's not too late to pour myself a second buzz for the evening. Either 1792 or some Russell's 10 year.

the long game in place this place is the calm center of the storm, moreso than the morons pilliging the stock market.

My brother is a utilities guy in Jacksonville.
I’m a career law enforcement officer.
Our jobs can be rough sometimes but, we will always have a reliable career.
I truly pity the folks who get their lives turned upside down when some calamity happens. It’s must really suck for these folks. I wish them all the best and I hope and pray it doesn’t last too long.

Wish I could have a couple of drinks, but I have some weird stuff going on in my neighborhood tonight. There are some cars that keep circling through, and it's people that don't belong here.
One of the cars, pulled into my driveway and sat there for a minute, their headlights shining in the window. When I turned on the lights they backed out. They were gone before I could get a look at the car.

unlike food and water, humans can live without electricity
but it is about as addictive as meth

I figured it was somebody dropping by for a visit, turned the lights on so they would know we are here. Guess that wasn't the case.
That's when I got to noticing the cars that kept driving through. They're gone now.
