They weeded out (no pun intended) a lot of corruption in government over the years which factors into his well their government runs. True they are only 6 million, but they are diverse as far as Asian countries go.
That being said. They are fairly neutral but are very china friendly. Talking to a few of them they are authoritarian. They believe in government censorship and think they are the shite while they abuse southeast Asian workers.

Marijuana is a scourge on this country and softening on it started this nations downfall.

I love that Singapore beats the shite out of litterbugs and I wish they’d teach Louisiana a thing or two. fricking animals living in this state. I see people throw entire bags of fast food out the window like they’re pouring a cup of water in the grass.

Recreational weed is also on the ballot in Florida and both Dakotas this fall. Don't think I would characterize any of these states as going further left. If anything, the opposite is true.

Legalizing weed is literally moving back to the right and away from authoritarian.
