It’s not just major population centers that have seen a rise in beggars. My little town in WNC has had a major influx over the years. Especially during the spring and summer months. They probably use the money they get here to head south for the winter.

Sooo....... ignore them?
Is it that hard?

We get more of the stores asking for donations. Can't go anywhere now without someone begging for money.

I outlined a measure before how to make NYC go red again by criminalizing panhandling and Jorts replied with: quote: It’s not as good as your proposal to airdrop the homeless to the US territories but it could work.
Does this mean we are on good terms again?

They are everywhere now. Try Denver during the summer, Albuquerque or Phoenix.
Some are truly homeless, I think some are part of a ring that goes around dropping these people off and picking them up everyday in some cities and too some it may be a job. I don’t give anyone a penny anymore.

There should be a fine for giving to beggars imo.

The point was, there is a law against it in a lot of cities but not laws against panhandling.

The main entrance to my office building was in the middle of a block, and the main pedestrian entrance to our parking structure was directly across the street. The cops decided they wanted us to walk to the corner to cross, and about 30 people in my office received jaywalking tickets the same day.

You should start a poll for the most triggered poster on this board.
Dude, all you do is get triggered, post a melt thread, then accuse others of being triggered and melting.
But my favorite part is that you want a law to restrict people's right to speech. Why do you liberals always resort to government solutions that restrict peoples' rights?

The best answer to beggars is to ask if they take plastic because you don’t carry cash. Works every time.
Posted on 12/16/18 at 8:11 am to Parmen
Possible solution:
Pull cup out of your car, briefcase, or pocket when they approach and thank them for their donation before they speak.

The following is true.
I went out to lunch with my banker here in nashville, where "the homeless" sell the homeless magazine/paper for $2-5. Banker gets approached to buy one. Replies he only carries CC. "Homeless" guy says,
wait for it...
"I take CCs. I can swipe it on my smartphone!"
