Cameron James, 17, of Haslet, Texas, mowed a giant American flag into the front lawn of his family’s home Monday. It was in honor of his friend, Army Pfc. Kevin Christian.
Christian, 21, died by suicide last month while deployed along the Arizona/Mexico border, according to Dr. Greg Hess, Pima County chief medical examiner. James knew Christian when they were in Boy Scouts together and they became close friends.

What a sweet and patriotic gesture to his friend. God bless him and I pray for his friends parents. I cannot even imagine.

Good for him, ain’t a thing wrong with being privileged. I can’t name a single soul who chose their birth nation, birth color, their parents occupations, salaries etc. This teen got lucky and was reared in the best country in the world where equal opportunity abounds to make yourself (and your descendants) one of the privileged.

I used to date a girl whose parents live in Haslet. The entire community consisted of educated, hard working people who managed their money well.
And of all of them I knew, they raised their children to do the same.
