I know Elliot Stonecipher. He's a life long democrat who has always been FAR to the left of me.

He sees where Shreveport is going and it's moving him away from the left.

I’m sure it’s been pointed out already. But this mayor wants to mandate masks for public safety. But can’t manage his own affairs to where he will not operate a car drunk.

I wonder what science has to say about operating automobiles under the influence.

Yes, I understand how today’s politics – including state and national – strongly benefit Mayor Perkins, all the more reason for this to be a federal investigation.

I can assure any who wonder that City Hall is full – f u l l – of officials paid by taxpayers who know how dire these circumstances are there. That they are afraid of losing their jobs goes without saying any longer in Shreveport.

To the few readers aware of these facts, I can confirm that I well know and understand how and why some key “local” officials who might otherwise offer help cannot / will not do so.

Update with highlights:
media reports confirming that Mayor Perkins is seriously considering a campaign against sitting United States Senator Bill Cassidy. As of 7:00 last evening, the Shreveport daily paper confirms Perkins’ consideration of that move.
We are told that between April 5th and July 10th … D.U.I. stops of the mayor total four (4). (I have written about the April 5th and July 10th events.)
… The last three of the four stops occurred within a one-week span, and two were on the same day.
Based on facts shared with us, the mayor “dumps” his security officer(s) to conceal such behaviors.

We conclude that the mayor being “pulled over” occurs when his security team relocates him and he is in no condition to drive.

We are told he is driven home by an officer in each such instance.

It might be against the law. A Shreveport white cop got suspended yesterday for a post he made on Facebook. He said the Minn cops shouldn't have been arrested until after an investigation.

Inb4 hire Miciotto.

Old Shreveport money moved to Dallas years ago. Shreveport started crumbling in the 80’s.

Such a joke if people would consider him for a congressional or senate seat.

4 DUIs is bad.

4 DUIs in 4 months is horrendous. Wrestler Sam Houston was referred to as having the “world record for DUIs” thanks to LA political connections quashing the charges and he “only” had 2 per year but over the course of 20 years.

If the mayor is this much of an alky, get him a guy fricking driver.

I think Shreveport could have a Tallahassee-type situation on its hands.

Seems to be a pattern developing with Democrat Shreveport government officials. Perkins feeling the favor of a predominately Democratic populated city and city government while Councilwoman Lavette Fuller felt same said privilege last week when a DWI that she admitted to was dismissed by another Democrat judge, Ramona Emanuel. Looks like plenty of privilege to go around. No telling what’s happening that we’re not hearing about or is not getting reported.

Where’s MADD?

They are supposed to be the backstop for this exact situation.
