Should we even the odds in Iran? Arm the protesters and form a resistance

They haven't hesitated to arm insurgents that have killed Americans. Maybe we should send arms to any faction of Iranians that wish to form a resistance and see how the so called Revolutionary Guard likes it when their intended victims shoot back.

No, cause eventually, no matter who is in power over there, those weapons will be turned on American soldiers. That part of the world will never be peaceful, stop sending arms/munitions to the sand box.

I want to know the background of the protesters.
Is this Shia vs. Shitte or are there both kinds of Muslims in the protester and Government groups.

i wouldnt object if a cargo plane filled with AK47s and boxes full of spare ammo "accidentally fell out of a plane" that was off course and intended to go to iraq or SA 
there must be a way to help the protester help themselves, i know they will still never be our friends but i think that could only make them less likely to want to be at war with us forever

Maybe we can get the CIA involved, purchase an airport in rural Arkansas, allow the pilot the skip over the Afghanistan after dropping off the guns and load up with hash and heroin to bring back and be sold to help fund the training of the iran-contras and guns.

Not accurate. ISIS was already formed and funded by the Saudis. Then, at their bidding, we helped form and fund the “Friends of Syria” which evolved, at our direction, into the resistance movement. This created the massive instability needed for ISIS to spread in the region.
The difference in this scenario is that there is already an established pro-West population in Iran that had generationally opposed the current Islamic regime and, unlike ISIS, it is comprised of highly educated Shiites and not barbaric Sunnis.

You are thinking of Shia versus Sunni. Over 90% of all Iranians are Shiites.
