Shopify Banned MAGA Gear

Shopify is the web hosting service that allows the MAGA gear company in Lafayette, LA to sell MAGA hats, etc. has banned the Trump Organization.
Despite accusations to the contrary- MAGA gear is made and distributed (exclusively) in Lafayette, LA., USA. The web based store for buying it is now shut down.
The owner is looking for another vendor.
I don’t have a link, but a close friend of mine is very friendly with the owner of the business, and that’s the source of my info. She’s looking for another provider.
This is utterly terrifying. Buying a MAGA hat is now verboten.

There are other platforms: woocommerce and ebay mainly.
Plus woo is way better than shopify anyway.

Secondly - you said she was searching for "vendors" - which none are "vendors", but those two are much better choices.

I'm a Shopify Partner and I'm moving a lot of my clients over to WooCommerce. PM me if they want an honest hand in getting them on a self-owned platform.

We were in the middle of launching with Shopify. We had been paying for the premium service--$2k a month. We withdrew from the contract and are now going to launch with an open source store latter this winter.
Although it doesn't matter to me that they shut down Trump merchandise, it does matter to me that they would shut down ANY store that was selling legal merchandise. There is nothing right about them doing this.
The lesson to merchants is the stores at Shopify are not really yours. They are property of Shopify. Do you really want to promote something that is not yours?

If you don’t mind my asking what did their premium service include? $2k a month is a lot. They’re making a killing.
