Seven of the nine thresholds that allow for human life on earth have already been crossed
Back in 2009, a large group of scientists identified nine limits that humans should not cross if they want the earth to remain hospitable to civilization. These included, among others, the availability of fresh water, the conservation of natural areas, pollution levels, the ozone layer and, of course, climate change. Now, a new report just published in the journal Nature quantifies – for the first time – the thresholds for each of these problems that should not be exceeded, in order for the earth’s system to be safe and just, not only for humans today, but for future generations. However, seven of these thresholds have already been crossed in all or in large swaths of the planet. The apocalyptic picture is softened by the fact that the growing hole in the tropospheric ozone layer has fallen from the list: humanity was able to solve the problem in the nick of time.
The 2009 report identified the limits required for the global ecosystem to be sustainable and secure. It was written that, if these limits were to be greatly surpassed, a series of catastrophic changes would follow. But since then, security has been joined by another idea: that the earth’s system will not be secure so long as it is also not fair. The latest report includes this consideration, quantifying the notion of justice between humans, the rest of living beings, as well as future generations.

Every article like this is pushing an agenda. I really don’t believe much of anything anymore.

The amount of water on earth hasn’t changed in billions of years. People are moving to areas where there never was water.

Sounds like a bunch of communist drivel. Also, it demonizes nitrogen and phosphates....two of the 3 main fertilizers. Remove those from the equation and a significant portion of the globe starves.

Malthusians love to repackage a discredited theory and sell it under a new name.

We were fruitful.
We multiplied.
We can check that off the "to do" list.

We are in the process of a magnetic pole shift and it is accelerating. As the poles shift the magnetic field weakens. When the magnetic field weakens more cosmic electromagnetic radiation is allowed to bombard our atmosphere from the sun and other stellar objects. This bombardment will strip away a much of the ozone layer and a lot more cosmic rays will reach us.
This is not a manmade phenomenon. This is a natural cycle and we should prepare for more electromagnetic radiation from the sun and more cosmic rays from other stellar systems.
Google magnetic pole shift. NASA is tracking it.

Until the ruling class and all preachy celebrities park all their private jets, yachts, and SUV motorcades, Half of this country won't take them seriously.

When the hell has the earth ever been "fair"??? When slavery existed worldwide? When the British ruled the seas by force? When the Spanish were pillaging all of South America? When women world wide were treated pretty much as second class citizens...if not property?
Right now the earth is the fairest it has ever been in all of human existence.

many of these thresholds are correct. but "climate change" is NOT a threshold. Climate change is always f@cking changing thus it amounts to chacing shadows.
Fresh water is made on the space station so please.
Ozone seems done.
Conservation is going strong here at least. We all get it.
Air pollution and water pollution in this country is doing very well now. Can get better but much improvement over the years.
The life of planet earth will not die till the sun does. We are a pimple on this planet and it can sluff us off anytime it wishes. Mother Gaea to some by very definition cares not a wit about humans.

If the future is nonbinary Marxists, I'm not too bothered that it's all gonna end.

Did Japan ever get the go ahead to dump radioactive water in the Pacific Ocean from the damaged Fukushima Nuclear Reactor?
What about the runoff from the Chernobyl disaster?

The only reasonable interpretation we can make of this statement is:
"Justice", in this context, means fewer human beings and those remaining human beings must possess the (politically) correct immutable demographic characteristics, characteristics outside of the control of the human being in question.

They can't survive a year without us. No food, no power, no clean water, no consumer goods - there is a reason the Soviet Union collapsed and it wasn't because they weren't "Marxist" enough. They were perfectly Marxist.
