I disagree with Sen. Paul on this. While It does makes sense to allow bills during this situation to be passed via vote remotely, the argument will be used by the the Prog filth’s agenda of voting by mail and or remotely.

i can see the shitheads using it as ammo to further push for mail in ballots and or remote voting via phones- under the guise of “well if Congress thinks it’s unsafe to leave their homes and vote, why is it safe for citizens to leave their house and vote?

Dangerous

The reaction to this thing has the potential to usher in changes to the govt that Republicans have been against and should be against.

We need to tread lightly on making systematic changes to how we do things.

Apples vs Oranges.

There are a fixed number of seats in House and Senate and vote canvassing is easily accomplished through video conferencing.

Regular voting does not have those constraints and thus is widely prone to fraud.

Ha you think that matters?

Logic and facts don’t matter to the Prog filth.

They just call out their dog whistles: racism, classism, voter suppression etc. and the media and public pressure to cave occurs.

Give them an inch they will take the whole freaking distance.

The FBI or military could set up a secure way to vote online. It would be more secure than mail in ballots assuming we trust whoever sets up the network.

I agree with Sen Paul. We know exactly who the Senators and Congressmen are. We can use secure video technology with a special log in issued to each of them. That cannot be done for all registered voters. 200 million voters cannot be "known".

Also, using remote voting for Congress makes it much harder on lobbyist and special interest groups.

Haha

Yeah we should trust the FBI. They would never do anything to collude against a candidate they don’t want in office.

You are right. I trust them wholeheartedly

The chances for deceit via a remote vote by Congress is zero.

The chances for deceit via vote harvesting or mail-in voting is 100%.

They are in no way comparable.

I don't know who exactly would set that up. Military I'm sure could do it, maybe Homeland Security.

VPN with a random number generator for access could prove they are who they say they are. Can't do that with a 125,000,000 voters

I’m using my Prog filth logic, which allows me to twist and turn reality to project my fantasy.

Senate = 100 votes, pretty easy to verify as well...

House = 435 votes, pretty east to verify as well...

Yeah, this isn't the slippery slope you thought it might be...

There’s no comparison to 535 people voting on things to 130,000,000 people voting on things.

If you tell me the 535 person vote has an opportunity for fraud, then I’ll be opposed to it.

It may be used but it doesn't hold water. The argument against voting by mail and or remotely is the introduction of potential fraud. That's a non issue for congress.

You could make a pretty good case that the country would be much better off with a remote, distributed congress.

You already have a list of congressmen who can vote, and you know what that number is. In a mail in scenario, you can make up names, have people not eligible vote or people vote more than once.
It’s not remotely the same thing.

If it's constitutional then I have no problem with congress voting remotely during these times. But I will change my mind if we see a vote cast from Sen Huey Long.
