WASHINGTON — As second top Internal Revenue Service official has announced plans to leave the agency amid the controversy over the targeting of tea party groups.

An internal IRS memo says Joseph Grant, commissioner of the agency’s tax exempt and government entities division, will retire June 3. Grant joins Steven Miller, who was forced to resign as acting IRS commissioner on Wednesday.

As part of his duties, Grant oversaw the IRS division that targeted tea party groups for additional scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status.

Grant joined the IRS in 2005.

I am just surprised his name is not Captain Tennille. So I could do a muskrat suzy, muskrat sam toodlin along in my pension land he was squigly so diddly

All is well now he was probably retiring anyway. So that is two; so Obama does not have to answer a simple question

tomorrow.

He is working on seeing who else is up for retirement to see if he can go Monday without having to answer to his job and actions.

I wonder if the term "Tea Party Controversy" has been focus grouped to deflect negative opinion from the IRS and toward conservatives.

So now TWO IRS officials are done. Well. In that case, let's forget about it. Problem solved.

According to the IRS website and congressional reports, Grant also has the word "Acting" in his title.

That is strange. These people need to be arrested, get a trail. But it won't happen because they were just doing what they were told to do.

Old saying of the cornered. Both these guys need criminal charges put on them. Jail time might help them "remember" some things.

Who can order that they are persons of interest to be hauled in for questioning?

Same question I'm asking. Since Obama nixed a special prosecutor, then (other than hearings) what can congress do from now on?

He was actually promoted to director of exempt organizations just 8 days ago. Just low level and rogue, nothing to see here. Culture of corruption there is non-existent. Government workers are disinterested and non-partisan. This type of behavior is severely punished.

So one temp employment allowed to expire (termed "firing"), and a retirement. Yep. BHO is really coming down on these SOB's.

Serous question:

Could someone make a citizen's arrest?
