Bill O'Reilly thinks that the second civil war has begun. He urges groups like the VFW and civil groups to come together and have counter- protests. (Support the cops, etc.) He has bumper stickers that say Stand Up For America. Calls out Roger Goodell for not having the "cajones" to tell the NFL that there will be no political statements on game day.

Do y'all think that we're headed for or are already in another civil war?

Where are all the "good guys"? I confess that I'm part of the so-called silent majority, but other than vote in November, what do y'all plan to do?

I guess it would be our 1st civil war. The 1st war for independence in the 1770s and a second failed war for independence in the 1860s and now a true civil war in the 2020s.

We're in one. It's a societal war rather than an armament against each other but this is very much a domestic war being fought over cultural lines.

Does anybody think for even a moment that the upcoming election will “show” the Left and set all things right? If Trump’s win in 2016 ignited a firestorm of resistance, what would a 2020 Trump win mean? They are never gonna play nice; they only want power and will settle for nothing less.

I feel the same. I work, have kids, try to love my love as best I can but I’m starting to feel cornered like never before. All this stuff going on has me thinking about my kids future and what life they will have. Tired of these crazies running the show.

We're all gonna vote in November and support people that support the constitution.

As long as the marxists keep destroying their own blue cities and stay out of the burbs there won't be too much counter, if the idiots bring it to the burbs then Joe and Sarah Public are gonna start lighting MFs up.

Nah. Maybe a cultural, cold war type of dynamic, but certainly not a guns and boots civil war part 2.

It’s a war of ideologies, so what we need is a surge of speakers. But that’s tough to do right now, with a very real threat to your career if you’re not towing the woke line in lock step. Best bet might by constantly highlighting the fundamental inconsistencies that exist in these critical field theories and letting those woke sub fields go to war with each other over attention until they eat their own movement from the inside.

Dude. You have 86 posts and joined a month ago.

No one has any rational reason to trust you. That's not paranoia. I mean, no one on this board should be "trusted". But damned sure not Mr. Johnny come lately.

Man, a second civil war would be difficult. Everybody has friends or loved ones on the other side of the political spectrum from ourselves. You really going to shoot your childhood friend or your co-worker for believing something you don't? (Of course, if he tries to burn down your house, then fire away...but I'd have to think such a person would opt not to burn down your house for the same reason you'd opt not to shoot him.) With the Civil War, there were geographical divisions. Today, people are inter-dispersed. Thus, I don't think such would ever happen. How the hell would the "teams" be decided?

You are unfamiliar with the Bosnian civil war, I see...

At this point, yes. If a civil war broke out I’d gladly fight for the side that won’t lead to my children living in a heinous liberal amoral shithole of a country

Do you know the definition of Prejudice? Literally, it means to pre-judge a situation based on prior knowledge and experiences.

People are getting doxxed and their lives ruined for simple remarks online, some as simple as "back the blue" or "stand for the flag" stuff.

You better be very careful expressing personal opinions, even watch what you are wearing. I've seen a few Americana-type shirts that say "STAND" on them, right now that would get you labeled as a racist Nazi.

So yeah, we're definitely in a cultural war in this country, and while it seems like the sides are defined, it's not real clear who's all on one side or the other. Asking "what are you going to do" is probably not the best approach.

If you think it’s bad now, the culture war of the late 1960s, early 1970s would have made you head for your underground bunker. I shite you not. What we’re experiencng now is mild compared to that incredibly tumultous period of our nation’s history.
