Curfews are widened in France and Spain while Britain begins locking down again.

No. But they are so much smarter and better than Trump. This can't be. If Uncle Joe were there he would make Covid go on lockdown. He's like Chuck Norris on steroids. He can bully China Covid and Cancer all at one time...but he can't make a complete statement without shooting himself in the foot.

Brings to question, given the enormous damage that lockdowns bring (which will last for years...just wait till governments try to budget in the coming years...not to mention the damage being done to kids not being in school), whether lockdowns should ever be even considered for a disease with a 99%+ survival rate.

Trump's plan is to leave the economy open, let states make decisions for themselves, and invest all efforts into caring for the sick and into research/development for a vaccine. Europe locked down their continent, crushed their economy, and are now experiencing a bigger wave of COVID than we ever have. I think our plan is working better than theirs is unless you are also willing to argue that no one has a plan. I think it's become plainly obvious that hiding in our homes isn't going to make the virus go away or help anything, and shutting down the economy only exacerbates the suffering and effects of it all.

It is spiking in Northern Italy where the lockdowns/social distancing were the most severe. When the weather gets colder and everybody huddles together, airborne illness is transmitted. Masks and confinement will not stop the spread of the temporary taste-smell stealing virus.
