Durkan said in a news conference Friday afternoon that the ban would continue for 30 days.
“After hearing concerns about the use of CS gas for crowd control purposes earlier this week ... we decided we were going to suspend its use for 30 days,” Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said.

ETA: Having felt the effects of both, I'd pick tear gas 10 out of 10 times over pepper spray. frick pepper spray. Not sure this is gonna go how they expect...

I live near Seattle and its a shite hole. Its sad what has become of a great city. I would go there a few times a month to walk Pike Street market and the waterfront. Not anymore.

I used to go there a few times a year for work. 20 years ago it was a great city as large cities go. Went back a couple of years ago and it looks like a permanent homeless convention.
