Are conservatives finally ready to wake up and stop appointing these bimbos to positions of power? The right is almost as ate up with DEI as the left, maybe more so. The left just uses DEI to coax our side to going along with it. Can we stop with the whole power babe, girl boss nonsense. Even the ones that are somewhat decent, still act like ridiculous clowns half the time.

Not too surprised with ACB’s record. It seems like 90% of female lawyers are this way

Still a win. It established the onus on the contract and now the provider has to establish it has complied with its contractual obligations.

Surprise, surprise. The modern day Sandra Day O’Connor got it wrong yet again. As has always been the case, John Roberts is a coin flip on what he rules.

frick no. One of the only sane things they did the last 4 years was not packing the Supreme Court

ACB is a gonna be a modern day Sandra Day O'Connor.

Female conservative justices go woke once they hit the DC cocktail circuit, what a disappointment.

These headlines are so misleading. The Court did not rule on the merits of the case, they ruled on the merits of the temporary restraining order and granted that the judge has some limited authority but since his deadline had passed requiring payments in compliance with that order the stay was cancelled. However They did not order the government to start payments back up yet and instead sent it back to the trial court for further clarification and proceedings because of the vagueness of his order.

Alito wrote a scathing dissent really calling out the trial judge along with other members of the Court

Thank you for the explanation.

How is foreign aid "owed" to anyone?
”contracts”

if the US government was party to enforceable contracts, it is not entitled to just unilaterally abrogate them.

Contracts are canceled all the time
Usually with significant penalties.

let’s say you own a little business in Baton Rouge. You have a contract with the US government to build some widget which is to be incorporated in some sort of USAid project in Sokovia. For the last six months, you have dedicated 50% of your production capacity to that contract, and you are in the process of putting those widgets in their boxes for shipment. Trump “cancels“ your contract. How would you respond?

“Well, I have been told that the Unitary Executive Theory lets Trump do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, so I guess I’m just shite out of luck,” right?

in other words, this ruling is exactly like 90% of the other rulings that get the villagers wound up around here.

Interesting that some of them (cough cough Chuck cough cough) are actually willing to listen to your explanation, when they utterly reject exactly the same explanation from people they don’t like.

Is it safe to say Amy Coney Barrett is the second coming of Judge David Souter?

The SCOTUS does not grant writs to overturn a TRO. The hearing for the Preliminary injunction is tomorrow. If Trump loses and the Preliminary Injunction is issued then they can appeal again and only 4 justices are needed to hear the Appeal. and we had 4 in the dissent.
in other words this ain't over

I guess fraud, waste, political cronyism to NGO's will have to be rooted out one grand or giveaway at a time. Turn it into hundreds of cases.
