Schiff vows that HIC will Investigate Evidence That Trump Told Cohen To Lie To Congress

Because he wants to appear as if he is doing something. But also it is grounds to impeach if true which is a political process. He's attempting to get ahead of it.

Cohen is a grown arse man and nobody made him lie. He needs to start taking responsibility for his actions and quit putting the blame on others

If Cohen had something - ANYTHING - wouldn't that stand to have already come out and been dealt with, considering he's already gone through discovery, trial, been charged, and sentenced? Wouldn't this have been a big deal during his own trial and testimony before congress concerning this stuff?
The timing is just odd here, I'm finding it hard to make sense of.

If Mueller has the goods, then he sends a report to Congress. The House reviews the report and draws up Articles of Impeachment. Why would Schiff need to have the HIC do a separate investigation? Wouldn't anything that Mueller has be far superior to what the Clowns in the House could drag up?

Because that’s the job of the HIC, and now that it’s run by Dems, they might actually take the job seriously.
Schiff doesn’t have to wait on Mueller’s report.

Are you implying that Mueller's report won't be sufficient or that Schiff and the Dem lead HIC can do a better job than the dedicated staff of the SC? Why waste time and resources when Mueller already has the goods?

There is no set time on when Mueller will be complete with his investigation. Could be tomorrow... Could be two years from now. Thats why the HIC would do their own investigation.

A President telling someone to commit perjury is a federal crime whether you like it or not. Hell, It’s a federal crime to tell someone to commit perjury even if they don’t actually follow through and lie for you like you told them to.
