Schiff Responds to House Republicans witness list request

“As we move into the open hearing phase of the inquiry, the Committee is mindful that we are engaged in a sober endeavor rooted in the Constitution to determine whether the President of the United States engaged in misconduct that warrants impeachment by the House,” he continued in the statement.
He then warned that the impeachment inquiry will not be used to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, or allegations of Ukrainian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections.
“This inquiry is not, and will not serve, however, as a vehicle to undertake the same sham investigations into the Bidens or 2016 that the President pressed Ukraine to conduct for his personal political benefit, or to facilitate the President’s effort to threaten, intimidate, and retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously raised the initial alarm,” Schiff said.

Republicans should just walk out at this point. Make a statement that says that if Adam Shifftforbrains is going to fix this and refuses to let us put on any defense, there's no reason for us to participate in the orchestrated sham of which Scifforbrains is a central criminal suspect.
And then, Mitch McConnell should release a statement saying that if this reaches the Senate, he can assure Adam Shifftforbrains that all of the witnesses on the Republican witness list will be subpoenad to testify in public on national television, including Adam Shifftforbrains himself as a key criminal conspirator.

Lying sack of shite. The reason that must be delved into is because Trump's entire defense is based on his legitimate and justifiable concerns about Ukrainian corruption specifically involving the Hunter Biden and potentially Joe connection therewith, as well as Ukrainian election meddling.
The Dems have dismissed those concerns as conspiracy theory, thus an effort to show that it's not conspiracy theory is, again, paramount to Trump's defense.
Nothing bad enough could happen to Schiff for my tastes.

So we're not going to look in to verifiable, legitimate, corruption involving quid pro Joe, but will continue to focus on impeaching a president simply because we don't like him. Gotcha!
