I've been in a few courses with Saudi officers. Unlike our Army where any normal middle class dude can do ROTC and be an officer, almost all the Saudis are connected somehow. The ones they send to the U.S. are even more connected.

Which means the Saudi killing U.S. servicemembers at NAS Pensacola is not only a Saudi officer but probably tied to influential / royalty back in Saudi too.

Going to interesting to watch this unfold.

How does a Muslim ban sound right about now?

If it saves one life? I think I have that right.

Apparently we have lots of foreign military nationals training with us due to our arms sales and support.

Screw them, we don’t need their oil. We train them on Aviation, and Saudi’s pull off another 911....

Still trying to figure out what a KSA Officer was doing in Pensacola? Unless he's a KSA Navy guy that was eventually headed to Whiting to learn helo's.

Northrup Gruman upgrades 1960s fighter jets for SA.

I always wondered if we put secret kill switches in them.

While I don’t know about this a-hole in particular, I know that Pensacola NAS is the only flight school for Navy flyers and that people who come out of there do various jets, not just helos.

It’s possible that the Saudis had gotten him a guaranteed spot in the basic military flight program in preparation to be trained elsewhere once he was qualified.

Yep... and EOD School is loaded with them.

We teach them our tactics and techniques in bomb disposal so they can turn around and provide countermeasures to their IED making terrorists countrymen. FACT.

I dont think this guy was flying anything yet. I heard that the shooting occurred in the Advanced Preflight Indoc building. A hunch that this guy was about to wash out, and took it out on Instructors.

Boy, I really hope we up our arms sales to the Saudi government in response to this to show them who is boss.

Which was honestly my first reaction when I heard NAS Pensacola.

They wash people out over piddily shite because there are a ton of bodies and not enough seats.

One washout I know has talked about a different candidate being washed out because he mentioned occasional indigestion and the Navy docs said “Acid reflux? Bye.”

Your God Emperor tried that once.

Andy yet, he failed to include the Saudis.

Trump is in bed with the Saudis just like every other president before him. He's not going to ban shite.

Wrong. My SIL trained at Kingsville Texas. He did Carrier landings off Pensacola and Group training off Jax but he was 98% at Kingsville.

Answer:
quote:

NAS Pensacola is home to the U.S. Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity, a program that partners with U.S. allies and trains members of foreign militaries.

Saudi students are among the international military-service members enrolled in course offerings at the base, according to Navy descriptions of the program.

We don’t need to, they couldn’t keep them in the air without 3rd parties to maintain them.

If we shut off support services. They’d be grounded.
