I quit buying Apple years ago when I realized who they really were. I've been a Samsung user since. I'm a veteran and a I love the country I was born in but its sad that I feel more free using a phone made in Korea. Dump Apple, quit buying their products. Google as well.

But Samsung phones all run Android right? You're basically still trapped in Google's clutches.

That's why they're a monopoly. It's almost impossible to not use them in some way.

Valid point, its better than nothing. I have strongly considered going back to a flip phone due to this.

Unlike Apple, android will let you install apps from other sources. When they banned firearm apps, most of the vendors just put the app on their website to click and install.

I've never owned an Apple product. Not even an Ipod. Like you, I have a Samsung phone and couldn't be happier with it.

Google is the company that I'm having trouble ditching. I ditched firefox way back when they ditched their CEO over a campaign contribution. I have opera as a backup, but it sucks.

You can still root an Android phone ...

Good luck with Apple.
