So has he changed his stance on comparing Trump to Hitler? If not, then I couldn’t care less what he has to say.

He literally says he hasn't changed his mind on his previous stated beliefs.

Meh

re: Sam Harris’ Epiphany: The Appeal of Donald Trump
Sam Harris is brilliant but lacking self awareness with regard to the realities of the political spectrum in 2020 because he doesnt leave his urban bubble.

Trump is a rebuttal to two decades of overstep and encroachment of increasingly totalitarian leftist warfare against mainstream American culture all nestled into an era where the establishment class on both sides has been selling out middle America for their own personal gain.

That’s it. Pro US, anti totalitarian self hating leftist and completely unafraid to say what needs to be said. He’s the warrior for those that don’t have a voice in DC.

What a crock of shite. Spends 8 minutes saying the reason we love Trump is because he is a piece of shite and makes that us feel superior him.

No, his point is that Trump does not judge you and the Left is completely composed of judgmental cünts that want you to surrender and that you’re innately an evil person. That is why I personally voting for Trump since I’m sick of that bull shite even if I personally find the man morally repugnant. He admits he was an a-hole and has been part of the problem. Outside of the IDW, you’re not going to find too many people on the Left willing to admit this. I’m glad he’s seen the light.

re: Sam Harris’ Epiphany: The Appeal of Donald Trump
Sam makes out Trump to be uniquely more immoral than other people and I just don't find that to be true.

Also, "shamelessness" for what? If Trump has anything to be ashamed about its not being a typical rich guy from NYC. I have no doubt most rich celebrities and athletes and the like have many similar "sins" as Trump. The difference is no one has ever cared enough to look into it.

The part I agree with is the contrast. Non-judgment vs judgement+.

I mean, Kamala Harris genuinely slept her way up the ladder.

Joe Biden slept with his current wife while she was still married to someone else.

I'm just not finding any unique sins Trump has that dems don't.

On Trump, but has changed his mind towards his supporters. It makes perfect sense to him now. He perfectly crystallized (minus the open flirting with communism and packing the courts) why I voted for Trump.

And yet he wraps up his podcast by claiming that Trump as a president is awful for the country for all the regular lib talking pint reasons.

re: Sam Harris’ Epiphany: The Appeal of Donald Trump
That could be the worst explanation of Trumps appeal that I have ever heard. They just don’t get it. The left sits there in their sanctimonious ivory tower casting down bread crumbs to the unwashed masses and tell us that we are horrible people. You can hear it in this jackasses voice. They will never understand the appeal of God and Country. You bet this cat had never flown the Stars and Stripes ever at his home and never thanked God for what we have in this country that literally billions of people worldwide would give anything to be a part of.

I’m honestly nervous about Trump being re-elected, but I’m fricking terrified of Biden and more Kamala being elected. I have not changed my mind since 2016 about Trump save for being a fascist and collapsing the economy. But the Left is completely dictatorial, can’t be trusted, and will demand I bend the knee. Trump does not. I think if Nikki Haley was running against Biden/Harris right now, I think she’d have 65% of the vote against the tyranny the Democrats are openly running with. I am knowingly voting for 2017-2019 Trump minus the kids in cages/separation of kids at the border (and yes Obama did it as well). My Leftist friends I will be honest I’m voting for that agenda and hoping that his stated second term agenda comes to pass (which is excellent).

Sam Harris is more ate up with TDS than almost anyone in America. I literally have to fast forward through his rants when he starts in on Trump. It's a purely emotional reaction, which is the opposite of what he purports to value.

Wow, that was total self-serving garbage. He still doesn't get it. He suggests Trump has no virtues. Thats a complete lie. His epiphany is that because Trump is a lout he can't judge his supporters and that absolves them of their guilt while the Left want to hold them to account for their sins of racism, etc.

This is a perfect example of a supposed brilliant person who cannot step outside of themselves and be objective. He has no insight into himself, none.

re: Sam Harris’ Epiphany: The Appeal of Donald Trump
“Trump has hurt our standing in the world”

What a fricking delusional opinion of what he thinks other world leaders think of is. There is no region, sub region, territory, state, or country who if they could, wouldn’t take down the USA the minute they could.

American exceptionalism will only continue to exist if we do what it takes to remain exceptional. He’s half right when he says this apologizing blaming for the sins of the past mentality from the left is what Trump supporters flock to, it’s the only path to continue if we want to lead the world. We’ve amended our laws as needed faster than any other long standing developed nation on the planet.

Trump will never send pallets of cash to Iran.
He will never bow to a Saudi.
He will never let his sons negotiate with CCP for sweetheart deals
He will never apologize for American exceptionalism.

It frustrates me, because I think if you could exorcise it and just show him his second term agenda, he’d reluctantly vote for him.

Not really. He is saying the very essence of progressives is their relentless moral condescension/imposition. Trump is the alternative. That shite is exhausting and Trump never hits you with it. That's all.

I didn’t see Harris’ comments about Trump and Hitler, but the comparison is obviously a ridiculous one and someone as smart as Harris should be able to see that.

Here’s a quick rebuttal to the comparison for Sam:

Trump literally could not care less that Sam is Jewish.

Hitler literally would not care that Sam does not practice Judaism.

No it hasn't. His opinion is that Trump supporters are flawed individuals who love Trump because they know he has no moral standing to judge them. Trump provides them absolution for their "sins." Harris is stupid on this topic.
