White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain defended teachers' unions who refuse to resume in-person teaching despite studies that have shown a low risk of spreading the coronavirus.

Klain was asked Tuesday night why he believed so many public schools were still closed despite studies backed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that continued to show it is safe for K-12 schools to reopen.

Fire them? How hard can it be to teach nowadays with a watered down curriculum. I’d demand hazard pay to teach in that war zone though.

I don’t support them holding out of being in the classroom, but teaching is a lot harder than the general public knows about, the same as other jobs. The things you know about are things you’ve heard about, but there’s plenty of other responsibilities and roles that are added on

Image if the Trump administration went against the CDC guidelines and sided with a union.

And the privileged who go to private schools will continue to out pace those who can’t afford private school. Good to see the Democrats fighting for those they claim to care about again.

Keep those union donations coming in. Screw the children, Biden’s good at that.

I’m sorry I just really can’t feel sympathy for a teacher right now. They general have a fairly Cush gig and have been working part time from home now for 10-11 months in some places?

So Biden supports not trusting the science.

After saying he would follow the science.

I know you know this but “the science” has become a bastardized term to justify whatever they damn well please.

I’m pretty sure those people just don’t want to return to having to teach Chaucer and the Byzantine Empire to MS-13 members.

They trust the science until big donors like teachers unions tell them otherwise
