Nightly talk shows including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, are set to go dark starting on Tuesday after writers agreed to strike.
Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show, which had correspondent Dulcé Sloan host this week, also will be hit, while such weekly shows as Saturday Night Live, Real Time with Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will be similarly impacted, though final decisions on those shows are expected to come later in the week.
The Late Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show, Late Night and The Daily Show are all expected to pivot to re-runs.

How can we show our support to the Writer's Guild?

This is good news for our nation.

This is sad news.
Now where will we turn to for quips, puns and gaffes from FJB?
I guess we will just have to watch joe for the original content.

OK break the "sad" part. I can take it.

You mean those "comedians" can't just write their own stuff for a week or 2?

Where will people go now for non-humorous, group think political comedy? Will the country survive?

How soon before we get calls for Congress and this WH to act?

How soon before they do? Big Joe Union already fricked over rail workers.

Not surprised those commie shills don’t pay the help very well.

Would’ve never even noticed had I not read this story. But anything that helps to clam up the DNC Progressive Court Jesters for awhile is a good thing.
I miss the old days. Carson, early pre-batshite Letterman. Late night used to be a nice way to cap off the day.

I'm sure the hundreds of viewers will be crushed.

Thankfully, this will affect me in no way whatsoever.

How will we replace Stephen Colbert? Who will dress up like a vaccine shot now and dance around in front of hysterical women?

I would never had known this had it not been posted here. Zero impact of my life since they all started down that radical left path (ie... Letterman) many years ago.

That’s a stupid name for an AI

Fake news. No way they’re shutting down. These guys don’t need writers to do their shows! I’ve been told for years by Hollywood they’re comedic geniuses, intellectual giants, and generational talents.

Back in 2007 Letterman and Conan paid their production staffs out of their own pockets, Carson Daly took only a month off then went back to work without writers in order to keep his staff earning paychecks.
We'll see if that sort of dedication exists among the current crop of show hosts.

They found a work around…
I hope the Writers Guild has training on the Shake Machine at Mcdonald’s.
