Russian Troll Spending in Key States - WI $2,000, MI $800, PA $300

The indictment is vague on what the Russians spent. It says that by September 2016, nearly the end of the campaign, the operation spent about $1.25 million a month. But in terms of what the Russians paid for social media ads, the indictment just says "thousands" of dollars every month. The sums are rounding errors in a race in which the Clinton and Trump campaigns spent a combined $2.4 billion.
quote:
Facebook said the Russian operation bought about 3,000 ads, spending about $100,000 on Facebook and Instagram combined. That is compared to about $81 million the Clinton and Trump campaigns spent on Facebook and Instagram combined.
quote:
Looking at key states, the total spent on ads targeting Wisconsin was $1,979, according to Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Richard Burr. Ad spending in Michigan was $823. In Pennsylvania, it was $300.
Obviously, there is a larger global cyber war that is ongoing and spending way more than was reported in the indictments but the Troll Farmers basically spent nothing in the grand scheme of things.
But don't let that stop the hype:
quote:
"An attack that — but for the loss of life — is as bad as Pearl Harbor," tweeted veteran journalist Jonathan Alter.

This has been a point that the media completely ignores
$100,000 is a drop in the bucket for election campaign ads. And if the media and left really want to believe they were able to turn an entire side of the electorate...then maybe they should hire the Russians to run their digital marketing in 2020 because clearly they know how to spend efficiently

Michael Moore attended a Russian sponsored Trump protest?
That's awesome.
What is going to be more awesome? When he comes out and claims that the Russians in no way, shapre, or form influenced his decision to protest Trump on that day

Apparently Trump Tower is something like 40 blocks away from Union Square.

I’m sure you have one, and I’m being completely honest here, but do you have any links to prove stuff like that was Russian sponsored? I’ve not read much about them giving money to anyone supporting HRC.
Well shite I'll pay the $3100 next time if that is all it takes to keep whatever kook the dems run out of the White House.
So far not one of the trial balloons they have floated is non-kook.

Apparently it doesn’t matter what the ad says, how many ads there are or how much money is spent.
The major factor is who bought the ad, which is one variable the consumer of the ad doesn’t know (so it has no affect on the outcome).
