Anyone else here heard it? He just spent the first 20 minutes of hour 2 on how insurance works. Nothing new. Then he dropped the bomb. If people with pre existing conditions don't have to pay what actuarial tables would indicate then you can't call it insurance.
You could call it entitlement...you could call it welfare. But it's not insurance.

At worst it's an entitlement. At best, it's a coupon.

Well, yeah.

I thought this was obvious.

Semantics. I don't see how that changes the argument.

Would still fall under the umbrella of Healthcare, wouldn't it?

So what is his solution? Health care is incredibly expensive, (in part thanks to the federal government).

20 years ago, would anyone have even questioned this?

Government "education" is a cancer on this society.

He's right.

For all of the other problems w/ Obamacare, the PEC issue was going to be the wedge that led to single payer.

Is it still considered stealing, if the government does it?

If he didn't, I will.

Why is the right so hung up on labels? Calling it Insurance, Welfare, an Entitlement, etc. doesn't change the issue of whether it should be part of any theoretical new law.

Why not just debate the issue itself?

He might be right or wrong, frankly I don't care.

So what is the solution for the solid taxpaying law abiding citizen who has played by the rules and has a kid born with serious autism - something no insurance company covered before ACA. Should a guy like this lose his house because he has a sick child. I don't think so.

As it was intended all along. The Dems knew they could push it through without the help with the other side. They knew that it could never be taken away because of the outrage. They also knew that it would lead to more gov involvement and ultimately the goal was some single payer.

It's Rush. Of course he didn't.

He's made a career off of bitching about the left and feeding talking points to his simple minded followers.
