That depends on the mass of ice above the sea level of the iceberg.
You retards are a perfect demonstration of the failure of our public education system in STEM subjects.

So what happens to that glass when ice is hanging out the top of the glass? When that ice melts, the glass will overflow.
I don’t know why you think I didn’t already know that based on that previous post

I love that these 2 quotes are from the same poster. It's why I love this board.

Take a glass of water. Fill close to top. Fill to top with ice. Leave on counter. Come back when it melts. Report back.
Would be true for ice floating in the ocean. Ice melting on land and flowing into the ocean would cause higher water levels though.
But how much is on land? I figure most of it is frozen ocean water

glacial ice/land mass ice is not suspended in water and will add to sea levels
sea ice is suspended in water and has already displaced its weight
sea ice is suspended in water and has already displaced its weight

some scientists argue that melting ice on land and the resulting runoff would cause continental uplift like what was seen following the end of the last ice age. While melting ice sheets caused sea levels to rise tremendously, over the next couple thousand years, the land that had been compressed under all that ice began to swell and "spring back", so to speak, now that all of that weight had been removed, causing sea levels in some areas (especially around Scandanavia and Canada) to retreat somewhat after its initial flooding.
You mean our entire ecosystem and planet works in such a way that no matter what happens it repairs itself?
Wow it’s almost as if it was perfectly designed that way by some extremely intelligent higher power.,..

Okay. That makes sense. I was wrong.

The problem is not the physics of ice melting. The problem is the falsification of data. Ice melts in some places and new ice freezes in others. GW advocates only report melting and not thickening. That's why the sea levels have not increased the way they were supposed to by the year 2000. Every time this happens they create a new deadline in the future when we all gonna drown.
They were wrong about things yes
But Rush is a moron as well

Exactly where it is now otherwise a lot of people in Manhattan would be screwed
Maybe people should understand that just because we built a city somewhere doesn’t mean that area always will be habitable. But the change is slow if it happens at all. Not like you wake up one day and bam Manhattan is under water. We will adapt with change in climate and you won’t even notice it’s happening

Wouldn't the analogy also be correct if you were to put some ice cubes in a funnel, put the funnel over a glass of ice water that is half full, then come back after the ice has melted and see if there is more water in the glass? The ice on Greenland is mainly on land (in the funnel) and not directly connected to the ocean. The part that is connected to the ocean (the ice cubes already in the water in the half full glass) should have no effect. In short, what you are stating seems to be a true analogy for some, but not all of the ice on Greenland. FWIW, I believe that the temps have risen and I believe that there has been some rising sea levels, just nowhere to the level that alarmist would argue. I would also argue that most of the rise in temps is not caused by humans. Just my .02.

Side note: it doesn't matter because warming isn't happening.
OK chief. If you say so then I guess that makes it true.

Icebergs melting won’t affect sea level. If a glacier melts into the ocean then it will.

Exactly.
Rush has spoken on this before. He knows the difference between land ice melt and sea ice melt.
OP is a liar

He's wrong because of the expanding earth theory.

Well if Rush is wrong then LA, San Fran, Portland, and Seattle are gone. Only one way to find out

No. When ice melts it cools the water
Cooler water is less dense. Less dense means less volume. Less volume means lower sea levels
